The heat of August is not even behind us, and we can’t wait for the Third Annual Sigma Phi Epsilon Chicago Society Palm Springs Weekend - October 11-14, 2024
This is not your over-programmed Conclave weekend, this is a low-key, interactive weekend with your GBTQ brothers.
Frank Sinatra, Dinah Shore, Garry Kief – they didn’t go to the Coachella Velley for the waters, they went for the sun and the fun when sun goes down.
Past highlights have included brunch, pool, hiking, late night shenanigans at the Arenas clubs, and even showtunes at the famed Purple Room. Brothers have partaken in the local talent at drag bingo and the all-worlds spa.
Here's a Glimpse of What's in Store in 2024:
Brunch: No weekend is complete without brunch. Dive into a spread of delectable dishes, sip on refreshing mimosas, and yes, don't forget those shades - because let's face it, we all might need them!
Cocktails and Mocktails: What soiree weekend would be complete without cocktails? Join us for early evening cocktails – who knows maybe a National Board member will drop by.
Pool and Kaftans: Spend your day lounging by the pool, soaking up the California sun, and maybe even catching up on that pumpkin spice inspired tan you've been dreaming of. Depending on interest, we may arrange day-passes at a local swim club.
Nightlife: As dusk falls, Palm Springs comes alive, and so will we! From bar crawls that showcase the best of Palm Springs' vibrant gay nightlife to a thrilling hand of cards at the Agua Caliente Casino, to Drag Bingo, there's something for everyone.
Accommodations: Make your own accommodations – Palm Springs is a relatively small community, many hotel and VRBO/Airbnb options available.
Last year, brothers from nearly a dozen chapters participated (plus boyfriends/partners/spouses).
Since this is a holiday weekend, we'll try to have activities Friday-Monday.
